How to Groom your Brows at Home

To determine the exact point where your eyebrow should stop and start, hold a pencil to your nose and angle it in the direction of the outer corner of your eye. Hold the pencil to the bridge of the nose (the tip of the nose) to find the starting point, but you want the inner edge of the forehead to match the outer bridge of the nose. Use an old toothbrush or eyebrow brush to brush your eyebrows to determine your natural eyebrow line.

Brush the tail end of your eyebrows (the inner part of your eyebrow) and cut it. Use angled eyebrow scissors to cut any protruding hair. Use a small pair of brow scissors to trim any hair that extends over the top of the brow line.

Brushing the hairs upwards is an easy way to bring long unruly hair into the spotlight, brushing them downward is also important when trimming your eyebrows. If you approach your face with tweezers, it is important to find out what your eyebrow should look like. Pay attention to the hair that grows around the forehead bone, eyelids and temples as you want to take it out before you start grooming.

Use a pencil as a guide to find the beginning and end of the brow arch. To find the end of the eyebrow, take a pencil at an angle and place it between the nose and the eye at the end. The pencil should lie between the pupil and the point where the forehead arches.

When the end of the eyebrow meets the place of the pencil, the end of the eyebrow will have the perfect length. This will make your eyebrows look fresh by trimming the front part of your eyebrows.

If you have cuticle scissors around your home, you can use them to trim your eyebrows. A tiny pair of scissors works great, and it looks cute when used as a nose-cutting tool with rounded edges to prevent you cutting yourself or making your eyebrows look like a red wedding in Game of Thrones.

Specialists recommend brushing your eyebrows before trimming to make sure you flick just below the tips. If you have longer brow hair, you can shorten it a bit, but a professional visit is not something you should do.

Sharpen the outer edge of the eyebrow with a few hair-like pencil strokes to achieve the desired shape. In general, the most convenient way to clean the arches is to tweeze and stain the eyebrows, but there are a few other tricks in between. Clean the most obvious hairs on the forehead and around the eyelids, but do not tamper with the natural arch of the eyebrow.

Brush gives you a better idea of where your trimmed brow hair is falling out. This allows you to see how your eyebrows grow out and draws attention to stray hairs that may grow out of place.

Invest in a good brow gel to keep unwanted hair at bay if you're not comfortable trimming your eyebrows. The easiest way to make your eyebrows look better without having to undergo a professional treatment is to use a product such as a gel pencil, pomade or powder to fill in and maintain your arches. Most eyebrow products, including the LOreal Paris Brow Stylist Definer Waterproof Eyebrow Mechanical Pencil, are spooky at one end.

Unlike cutting the bangs or dyeing roots and leaves like a pro, you can groom your eyebrows at home with a little patience and the advice of an expert. Designing your own eyebrows at home may seem simple, but with a few tips and tools from professionals you know exactly how to pluck and trim yourself. You've probably seen your stylist trim your eyebrows with scissors to create the right facial framing and look, but that can be difficult at home.

If you really want to manage your brow hair, you better use a shaping gel while waiting for your next brow styling appointment. It is vital that you do not go overboard and ruin the idea of daily maintenance by brushing out your eyebrows at every angle during grooming, especially if you are targeting only one or a few hairs at a time.

Meanwhile, use a brow pencil such as Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer to fill out sparse areas. After removing the make-up, make sure you start with your bare, natural eyebrows.

Instead of combing your eyebrows, use a spool of clear brow gel, which helps keep the hair in place and cut it easier, but wait until it's completely dry.

Clean your eyebrow area with an alcohol pad, cut your hair and apply baby powder to your eyebrows. Remove stray hairs from the arch of the brow and bridge of the nose. For us, clean the haunt, brush away the brow hairs and cut off any excess hair that sticks out.

If you prefer waxing to tweezers, buy an eyebrow wax set that contains thin wax strips from eyebrows that can be used to place wax strips on the eyebrow in the direction in which the hair is growing. You can repeat the process with each eyebrow by connecting the three markers so that the straight lines of your eyebrow are connected, create a map to show you where the hair is, then brush the lines back together and leave everything else alone.
